Jasmine Guy is a multi‑hyphenate artist with a long‑standing career on screen and stage. She gained notice with School Daze (1988) and reached a wide audience as Whitley Gilbert on NBC’s A Different World. Notable television roles include Roxy in Showtime’s Dead Like Me, Gemma in Grey’s Anatomy, and Sheila “Grams” Bennett in The Vampire Diaries. She has also appeared in Amazon’s Harlem. In 1990 she released her self‑titled album and authored Afeni Shakur: Evolution of a Revolutionary (Atria Books).
